Drawing on my 20 years as a fitness, nutritional and mindset coaching professional, I will get you started, keep you motivated, and help you to succeed. To look at me now you wouldn’t think that I used to be overweight. I have been a healthy size 10 for 17 years, I’m in proportion, and I have plenty of energy to keep up with my kids and run my thriving Gorgeous and Pilates businesses. But it wasn’t always this way… I didn’t start out in the fitness industry. I was a busy career girl in an office. At that time I happened to be skinny because I didn’t have time to eat and yet I was starving all the time and tired. Then I had my first child, Ben. I couldn’t keep up the full-time work schedule whilst juggling daycare and looking after Ben. My weight exploded. As a busy woman responsible for my son and my family, looking after myself fell to the bottom of the list. It was hard and food offered an instant burst of happiness. It was a treat… an energy boost to help me carry on with everything. But when the ‘sugar bomb’ hit I’d feel crappy and moody.

I love Pilates and I love to exercise, I eat so that I can exercise the way I want to.

You can’t get healthy or reach your ideal weight through diet alone. If you want to lead a healthy, vibrant life then you’ve got to exercise regularly. I know exercise can feel like such a chore – especially when you have no time to go to the gym or go out for a run. I used to feel this way too – but not anymore.

If you want to get healthy, you need to make good food choices. But this doesn’t mean you need to overhaul your diet. Instead, it’s about reflecting on your existing choices, adapting, and making incremental changes in the weeks ahead. You won’t need to eat different foods from your family and you won’t have to buy lots of expensive and unhealthy ‘diet’ products. Instead, you will learn how to love wholesome, proper food that will help your energy levels to soar.

Let me tell you a little about my clients and how they find their way to me.

Take Jenny, for example, she was constantly worried about food, all day she was obsessing about food and as she explains she was always on edge.

“Before GG my life was very stressful, I was always a little bit on edge and I never felt comfortable. There was never enough time because I spent so much time wondering what to wear and what I looked like and what I was going to eat during the day. Every time I ate I thought about what I could eat next, food was an obsession. I loved food but I felt guilty about loving food that was the problem

but it is DIFFERENT NOW.”

The problem was Jenny had no guide or mentor; she was following conflicting advice with no clear route. And if she was honest a few mindset issues about food that also needed some closer inspection and love.

 

 

Caroline’s gorgeous journey started off very rocky.  As a nurse she found managing patients complex care very stressful which didn’t help by her own personal frustration with not knowing what to do with her own health.

“Since my 20s I had ‘done’ diets to death  – milk shake diet, Weight Watchers, Slimming Word they didn’t work for me and I think my metabolism had stopped being so effective.

I didn’t know where to turn.

There was so much information out there – low fat diet, high fibre I didn’t know where to go. My mood was really low and I didn’t have a lot of energy, I was drinking a lot on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings just to make myself feel better.

My biggest fear was failure because I had done so many diets in the past, where I had lost a bit of weight I felt good about myself for a while but I couldn’t sustain it. I don’t think any of the diets that are out there are sustainable I put weight again then I feel bad about myself you created that negative image of myself.”

Anne-Marie used to watch her family play in the sea and she would stay behind and watch the towels. She felt unfit and unable to join in. After her Get Gorgeous journey she says
